Shall we heart Notts?

Notts Malaysia is currently running a 'I heart Nottingham' campaign. The mass e-mail sent to students on the 12th of March reads as below :

Hey,

Have you noticed the colourful banner and buntings being hung around the walkways? The I Heart Nottingham campaign is finally here! So many people have asked me, what's this campaign all about? Well, basically its to promote university spirit and to build a sense of community around the campus. Hahaha, I know it sounds like a mouthful. But it just means we want you to love Nottingham and feel as though you belong here.

This campaign started many months ago as an idea, which slowly conceptualised into reality. Back in December 2007, we realised that there was an increasing number of vandalism and theft cases. We decided that we needed a campaign to create awareness, and hopefully, to bring about a change in the campus.

Its main theme is Civic Consciousness, which sounds very preppy. But basically it means that we are all adults, and we should know how to behave, not abuse our own rights, and the rights of our neighbours. Its sub-themes are:
- Drugs
- Vandalism
- Theft
- Noise pollution (accomodation)
- Don't feed the animals

So, now you know what's the campaign all about.. And now, you're ready to support the campaign, and each one of us can make this campus a better place. So, get a T-shirt! Its selling everyday at the SA Circle from 11am - 2pm. Wear it and come for the Drama Competition at the Great Hall, 7pm, tomorrow night (13th March). See you there!

Last words, before we can make a difference, we first need to make a difference in ourselves. =)

We do love our Notts but before we start to hate Notts, why don't they do something about it to make us continue to Heart Notts?
